Come and join us for a summer of fun at Ely Market. Our vibrant weekly markets are loved by residents and visitors alike. There’s something for everyone, from quirky antiques and unique crafts to the finest local produce and street food. Our summer special events programme includes free children’s activities, evening foodie events and regular Farmers’ Markets.

The Ely Market Spotter Trail

We’ve created a free children’s activity based around our historic Charter Market. Pick up our free activity sheet and head down to our Charter Market every Thursday and see what you can spot! Also included is a fun competition to design your own market stall. Available from reception at East Cambs District Council, Ely Museum and Oliver Cromwell’s House.

Ely Museum at Ely Market Place

Come along to the Market Place to discover more about Fenland history throughout the ages. Dress up and have a go with the old tools used to grow market produce in the Fens. Free drop in, parents/guardians please stay to supervise your children.

Children’s Craft Activity Day

Come and join local artist Laura Pearson Clarke for a day of fun activities, including origami and still-life drawing! Free drop in, parents/guardians please stay to supervise your children.

Sunday market is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
You’ll find everything from food, plants and gifts to vintage collectables and vinyl. There’s always something fun for the kids too – from sweet treats to a traditional fairground ride.
